I have my Talladega National Forest permits and have not wet a pan there yet. They are free. Ask for the maps. You can not pan one mile up or down stream of endangered what ever. Good for one year. Here is the emai address to get your permit.   [email protected]

I got my permits coming, Thanks Wendell . The number you supplied is for the Shoals area around Heflin and they gave me this number ( 256-362-2909 ) for the Talladega area . It takes 2 permits for the whole TNF.
